Identify:
In today’s society teenagers are exposed to the saturation and influences of sexual images from music industries to advertisements. Many teens are in their vulnerable stage in life and are drawn into the glitz and glamorous life of image, status and power. It can be dangerous when one can not separate the physical appeal versus emotional appeal. It can be quite damaging when one confuses the two and results in risking their health by imitating the lifestyle for example being sexually active. Due to the sexual images and attitudes that are projected in society there has been an increase wave of unintended pregnancies especially ethnic backgrounds such as Blacks and Hispanics. They are at even higher risks and are prone to being sexually active due to low income and unstable environments. These specific groups do not have easy access to health facilities or have the lack of understanding about safe sex.
